A College Student & Credit Card Debt

Why do people charge so much in on their credit cards in the first place?

I can understand basic living expenses. But, is the majority of credit card spending for basic living expenses or is it in luxury purchases?

Stats like that would be very interesting to see & I’d even summarize them in a blog post here.
