More than 1 million people filed for bankruptcy last year. This trend is also creating a work boom in part of the legal profession — consumer bankruptcy law.

    Bankruptcy is about the only sector booming in the legal industry right now. A-list law firms are laying off lawyers and staff left and right. They’ve called last Thursday “Black Thursday” because over 1,000 people were let go from major law firms.

    I agree. I guess they will be the only people who’s going to be rich at times of great depression. Nobody did forecast that this business was going to boom. The only question is: Can people, who are financially burdened, afford them?
