Consumer Debt Rises $5Billion+ in February!

At a time when home prices are falling, & energy prices are rising,

should people really be looking to take on more consumer debt?

I’m not so sure this is such a good plan.

After all, eventually consumers have to pay the money back or file for Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy in an attempt to discharge some of their unsecured debts.

Regardless, this article is a few weeks old, but is great for looking at the trend of how people are continuing to go deeper into debt (it takes a little while to compile previous months’ statistics) in 2008.

Check it out.
