Filing For Bankruptcy Protection in Arizona

Arizona’s bankruptcy rate has increased 100% since last year!

Take a look at these 2 stories.

What’s kind of unexpected, depending on how you look at it is that the majority of people are still filing for Chapter 7, not 13, protection.

“Filings for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which doesn’t require any debt repayment, increased nearly 104 percent statewide, from 695 to 1,415. In the Valley, those filings rose nearly 118 percent, from 458 to 997.”

With numbers like that, even 2005’s BAPCPA can’t stop people from filing real bankruptcy!
