    My friend went bankrupt a while back, but he was able to keep on pushing and is finally out of debt and financially independent, so there is hope.

    That was a great article you pointed to thanks. My brother went through the bankruptcy process last year and found that it actually helped him out a little bit. He was young and made a bunch of bad spending decisions, but after going through all of this he seems to be a lot more responsible with his paycheck.

    I think, just like everything else, it is what you make of it. If you look at your bankruptcy as a way to turn over a new leaf, then that is what it will be.
