Nine Million American Households Have Negative Equity In Their Homes.

Here’s a very well written article about consumers filing bankruptcy.

The question is, who’s really to blame?

On one hand, the creditors were the ones who actually gave out the money..but,
on the other, how many people borrowed money that they reasonably couldn’t ever
pay back?

It even has a pretty good comparison of the present situation regarding the Government
bailout of Bear Stearns…after all, if a bank can get real bankruptcy protection, why can’t
consumers?
