Read this:
The American Bankruptcy Institute said that consumer bankruptcy filings in the first half of 2009 are higher than at any point since bankruptcy reform in 2005, and are on pace to hit levels seen before the legislation passed.

Bankruptcy Filings Highest Since 2005!

According to the article below,
U.S. bankruptcy filings rose in the first quarter to the highest since 2005, government data show, as rising unemployment, falling housing prices and tight credit made it harder for people to hold off their creditors.

Record Bankruptcy Quarter Nationally

Seems that Tennessee is still seeing a lot of bankruptcies…However, this article mentions that  bankruptcies last quarter were record(since 2005) setting nationally too:

Bankruptcies Soar In October!

October apparently saw a larger number of people file for bankruptcy as compared 2007….40% is not surprising….when will the records stop?
U.S. consumers filed some 106,266 bankruptcies in October, up 40 percent from a year ago and up 20 percent from September.
