Utah Not King of Bankruptcy Filings Anymore!

As we’ve reported before, it looks like Tennessee is currently holding the lead for most personal bankruptcies.

Does ANYONE know what this is?

We’ve asked people who’ve lived in TN before but we can’t figure out why Tennessee would have the #1 title…there wasn’t a housing boom in TN, was there?

A friend of mine who is from Atlanta said it may because of corporate layoffs. The same trend is being seen in Atlanta where a lot of corporations are headquartered.

Aren’t many large companies headquartered in Tennessee?

Ideas welcomed in comments.

The bottom line is people need to hold themselves accountable. We inherently overspend and extend ourselves beyond what we should, the rainy day inevitably comes sand we get wet. People cannot continue to borrow on top of borrow eventually the bill comes due
